April 18th 'Brtitish Made Music' was the title of the program of records at the Guildhall Recorded Music Group.

The Portsmouth Players understudies perform a variety show for residents of a convalecence home at Liss.

Fratton Trades Club opened May 5th 1956. The front section of the building became the Irish Club until they moved to Elm Grove. Before the first world war, the building housed the presses of the Portsmouth Times.
