Assorted photos of Jim and his bands include: Edison Lighthouse, Screaming Lord Sutch, Mojos, T.Rextasy, Dave Houghton [Joe Jackson Band], Steve Hampton.

Portsmouth born Jim gained a distinction at the Royal Schools of Music from where he graduated in 1997.
I was born in Horndean but due to my dad being in the navy I spent my early years in the westcountry, they moved to Portsmouth in 1980. Shortly after this he teamed up with Dave Houghton (Joe Jackson drummer). Edison Lighthouse was not the original line-up but managed by Barry Mason who wrote the hit 'Love Grows' - Jim joined them in 1977 and toured the UK, Denmark and Germany. He was also part of Screaming Lord Sutch's band (the Savages) for a short while - late 70's I think. Over the years I have worked on and off with tribute band T.Rextasy and played on several of their CDs and performed various gigs. The best of this was when they performed at Cambridge Corn Exchange in 1997 with all the survivng members of T.Rex and Rolan Bolan etc Both Dave and Jim met up with Gary Brooker at a gig in Dunsfold where they played at his local pub over a couple of years. On occassion Gary would get up and perform with us. This would have been 1995 - 1996.
