Helen comes from a family of pianists starting classical lessons aged four it was all thanks to her grandfather Louis Groves who in 1910 bought of Steiner piano from South Parade Pier in Southsea for the family to play.
After learning her craft and playing the piano in public during her school University days life took over and then went on to pursue and successful career in teaching and help to teach young people to play the keyboard read music and sing.
Yet despite her deep inner yearning to perform herself, Helen said she thought that phase of her life might have passed and wasn't sure she has the talent or gumption to get on stage.
But seeing an advert for an open mic night changed all that igniting a new exciting adventure for her after a 25-year break. After performance is local pubs and to build up her confidence.
