The Elms Club name has gone in 1948/9, 1951 and 1958, has been taken over by 'the ministry' and later became The Irish Club

The Irish Club was previously in the front main road section of what is now the Fratton Trades Club,
that part of the building was previously the offices and print works of the Portsmouth Times.
